d56nut Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 I see that Amazon has the fire stick for 24.99. I've been thinking about getting one and this seems like a pretty good price??? It co Es with a standard remote. They offer a voice remote for 10.00 more. For those of you that have it....is it really worth it? I currently run my Netflix through my Wii and it's a pain to search for things when "typing" as you have to use the up and down keys to get to each letter. I can just imagine the kids catching on quick and then one day walking over to the TV remote and leaning over, "turn on".....then looking at the tv wondering why nothing happened... so in a louder tone "TURN ON"...."Dad!! I'm glad that they were still taking orders last night for the Fire stick, although it isn't to be shipped until 12/15. Last night we tried to use our Prime on our LG smart tv to stream a movie. Imagine our shock when we couldn't find Prime on the list. Tried everything I knew to get it to come up. Out of frustration I tried searching for a fix and found out that Amazon has stopped supporting Prime on certain TVs that use Google software. Their feud has screwed a bunch of people whose smart TVs now don't get Prime unless you buy some sort of streaming device........like the Fire stick.
