Guest Unregistered Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Is there a company out there that will provide service to people with bad credit and no cc. A friend wants me to use my credit card because of course she will always pay the bill and return the eqipment.::rolls eyse:: I don't want to do it for so I am trying to find a compant who will work with her.
Carazariah Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Hmm . . . I wouldn't do that. I would reccomend trying the local Cable provider, most will take a small deposit instead of a Credit Check. . I agree don't give your CC# for that. C
Grants Dad Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I just went through DirecTV for signup, and in the online signup. In the signup, you can agree, or decline, a credit check. If you refuse a Credit Check, you'll be assessed a $10 charge on your first bill, but with keeping your account in good standing, you can get the $10 back.
mmm40 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Will they let her by without having a credit card? So many of them say you must have a cc to pay. She has a debit card but was told that isn't enough

tokanm Posted January 28, 2006 Posted January 28, 2006 We have Directv and I believe we used our debit/MC to set up the account. We are billed monthly and the bill does not get charged to debit/mc. We have been very pleased with Directv as cable here (Comcast) was $$$$ and limited channels whereas Directv had lots of channels and was 1/3 the price. No probs with reception etc either and they are always having specials with free install, free Tivo. I personally would never go back to cable MEM:g_thumble
