bribri25 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I snatched the HP i5 laptop for $300. Best deal in all pcs imho. I think the Toshiba @ Staples was pretty good, too. i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HD (and I really like the numeric keypad, too)
cherry33778 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I think the Toshiba @ Staples was pretty good, too. i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HD (and I really like the numeric keypad, too)For $449.99 minus the $50 rebate for an extra 250gb and 4gb memory and no beats audio nor extra 3.0 usb slot? Maybe for the same amount but not $150 extra out the door.
bribri25 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Plus, there was a Kindle with the Staples laptop; sure not as much as the Beats, but maybe more useful than an over-hyped pair of headphones. I can't really see myself using USB 3.0 (certainly more than one) on a daily basis; maybe just for HDD backup, etc. The extra 4 GB of RAM is worth the difference in price of the Beats vs. Kindle. So I guess it just comes down to which one fits you better. But comparing apples to oranges, they're about equal 1
