IDmom262 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 My son has requested football and or baseball cards for Christmas. Is there a particular brand I should purchase? Does it matter? I can get them pretty cheap at walgreens, but there are more expensive brands at other stores. I don't want to get the wrong thing. Thanks for your help.
HonestAbe Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 How old is your son? Does he want any player(s)/team(s), or does he just want a variety? I'd be more than happy to give my input. I've been collecting off and on for 25+ years myself, and our 9 year old son also asked for NFL Football cards this Christmas. I've bought, sold, and also traded tons over the years. Hope this helps...Thanks!

For a beginning collector, you may want to go with Topps, the standard as far as trading cards goes. They have a Black Friday sale on their site. topps.com
IDmom262 Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 My ds is 10. Last year he asked for Jerome Simpsons rookie card, and I was able to find that. This year he just want packs of cards. I have seen the topps cards, I guess I will get those for now. I just know nothing about these cards, so I appreciate any insight.
