My kids have wanted one for a long time.

Walmart has a 14ft @ $169

BJ's has a 16ft @ $249

Is the extra two feet worth the extra $$?

Those that have one how big are yours?

Thanks!

First things first NYShopper!  Do you have room for a 16' trampoline?  If the answer is yes, then, yes, size does matter.  And Bigger is Better.  Bigger is more fun, can accommodate more and bigger kids, and leaves more room for error.

I do have the room for the 16ft.

I'm thinking after reading reviews the bigger one just may be worth it.

Now I just need to figure out if my DH could set it up to be a surprise on Christmas morning. :)

Sounds like your dh will love you just like mine does when I have a whole jumble of things to be assembled on Christmas Eve, lol.

1. Spike the eggnog

2. Eat the cookies

3. Drink the eggnog (you need the eggnog to wash the cookies down)

4. Assemble everything

5. More cookies

6. More eggnog

7. Pretend to go to sleep

We have a 12' one... I think my daughter (13) wishes it was bigger.  It's really a one person trampoline!  Go for the biggest one you can fit and afford.

we didn't set ours up... just put a picture of it in a box!!  It was the middle of winter, and she couldn't use it until spring anyway.....

ALL tramplines are 1 person only. That is a very strict rule. It has warning signs all over saying not to let more than 1 on it at a time. That' show you get the injuries. Also make sure your insurance will allow it. A lot of homeowner policies don't allow them. We have a 14 or 15 foot. Bought it at Sams and it is much more heavy duty than the ones now. They will adctually blow over in a windstorm. Nothing could blow ours over but maybe a tornado. We have had it almost 18 years and it's just now coming unstitched. If my husband caught 2 kids on ours, they were grounded off it for a month.

Yes, I know they are all for one person!!  Just saying, there's not much extra room.

We purchased anchors for our trampoline, and they work great!  Holds that thing down in the biggest wind storm!

FYI - Academy sports and outdoors store had trampolines for cheaper than walmart or close to :14 ft for 159$. They had plenty in stock too unlike walmart's two they will have tomorrow. If you have an Academy's close, it's def worth the trip! bought one today and now if i can get that eggnog for the hubs to put it together for the princess. she doesn't care that it's cold outside, she wants to JUMP!
