Well in my opinion no, THATS WHAT IM DOINGI don't want an xbox, but is it wrong to camp out to buy one to sell it on ebay? And is it worth it, will I profit from doing so? I need extra money to buy the rest of my kids xmas gifts.

how much is the xbox 360 going to sell for?
$299 for the core system (wired controller, no hard drive)
$399 for the premium (wireless controller, dvd remote, 20GB hard drive)

be better off waiting for the upgrade (or version 2.0) after they fix the power supply overheating issues so you don't have to suspend the thing in midair to get it to play more than 15 minutes at a time. (along with all the other little issues it has right now)
I'd get one to sell it on ebay, but best buy is not the only store getting them on the 18th. Taking a risk there if that is the only reason to buy it. The demand will be MUCH less after the 18th, since a lot of people won't be able to afford the $400-$800 that close to christmas, having done most of their shopping already.
I have to disagree with the blue text there...people like you and I that look for good deals online, always try to save a little here and there, even if it's a free bottle of lotion -- we won't have that $500 at Christmas time...but the folks with the disposable income (and there are MANY of them) have the money, but not the time to stand at Best Buy and fight for one, kwim? I think there's plenty of money out there for buying junior the coolest gift in town...just can't get away from the office long enough to actually lay hands on it... -- which is where folks like you and I come in...

If a person wants one really badly...they will camp out. If they dont...well thats there problem and they will have to wait for the next batch to ship.

I agree. I have posted that many times on here, and get jumped every time. We were lucky enough to get one on launch day.I understand people wanting to make money on selling them on ebay, and I'm thankful that we have that opportunity, but the sad thing is there are families out there who really do want it for their own, and their kids won't get it because the supply is just not there or they are unable to camp out. I am choosing not to camp out, but I most definitely also refuse to pay through the nose on ebay for one.

Its none of my business but JMO that you could be a little more compassionate in your threads to people or not say anything. JMO again. Merry Christmas

That's not necessarily true...as said in posts after yours, not everyone is able to campout. What if you work at a hospital, an all-night restaurant, or anywhere that is open around the clock and you have to be at work? Or what if you're in the hospital yourself, or what if you got in an accident on the way to campout, or what if, what if, what if??? Really the true monster in all of this is Microsoft. They in no way should have released a system like this so close to Christmas without being able to meet demand.

Have you had any problems with yours? Personally I have not heard of anyone who has had trouble, but I know it's happening.

No, nothing at all. But I have heard of them overheating, mostly display ones though. Although the display @ hubbys work is fine. He works @ EBgames, and has not had any customers that have told him about problems.Have you had any problems with yours? DONT apologize, the truth hurts, first of all, in marketing there 5 groups of people who buy the stuff the 1st group consists of 10% are the people who buy new technology are called something, as to lines of newbies, where are you when some other technology that comes out? no where probably in the groups 3 & 4 which consists of the other 60%. So dont start now trying to be in the first group, the reason most of us arent in the first group, this is the first stage brought to market where it costs the most and is in the most unstable stage.
DOESNT ANYONE REMEMBER MICROECONOMICS, COME ON. DONT BE STUBBORN, I WAITED 18 HOURS TO GET MY XBOX IF YOU HAVE KIDS GET A BABYSITTER SINCE THIS GIFT IS PROBABLY BE FOR THEM, SHOW EM YOU CARE, BY SAYING YOU WAITED XX HOURS. NOW STOP CRYING ABOUT YOU HAVING TO WAIT.
NOW THAT WE KNOW ABOUT ECONMICS AND MARKETING THE ACTUAL PRICE OF THIS ITEM IS WELL OVER THE RETAIL PRICE, SO YOU EITHER PAY FOR IT ON CASH(EBAY) OR YOU PAY IT WITH YOUR OWN TIME(WAITING)
IF YOU THINK I AM LYING PICK UP A BOOK
HARSH? NOPE JUST THE TRUTH, IN MICROECONMICS ITS CALLED THE GAME THEORY. WE (THE CONSUMERS) ARE THE PLAYERS AND MUST OUT THINK EACH OTHER, I THINK THIS IS A MUCH BETTER GAME THAN IS XBOX 360, BUT THATS MY TAKE. I ONLY HOPE THAT YOU IF YOU REALLY CARE/WANT/INTERESTED YOU TAKE MY WORDS SERIOUSLY AND NOT HARDSHIP. YOU THINK ROCKFELLAR, JP MORGAN, BILL GATES, OR ANY OTHER OF THOSE GREAT GAMERS CARE ABOUT YOU. INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING TRY STUDYING AND PLANNING TO BEAT THE OTHER PLAYER.
TO LEARN A LESSON FROM HERE
EARLY BIRD GETS THE EARLY WORM
Wow, you're not here to make friends, are you? Your first paragraph makes no sense to me, but maybe that's because I'm not willing to camp out for XX hours to "show em I care". Thank GOD my kids don't feel the need to relate gifts to love in my home.
