magickallight Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 This 8pm thing seems to be the norm this year... I DON'T LIKE IT! 1
lkonkel Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I think a lot of stores opening at 8pm might have less sales and back fire on them.....I think (depending on what you need and who you are shopping for) people will go to the stores like Target, Walmart, Kmart before going to stores like BonTon's, JcPenny's, Kohls. But, I guess it all depends what you are shopping for. I liked being able to hit Walmart/Target and then have a hour break before going to JCP and BonTon.....in the end, Walmart and Target will be my first stops and if I don't get stuff at JCP and BonTon, oh well. IF all stores open at the same time...people will have to choose and I think stores will loose out in the end. 2

We'll drop off with each other's list to three of the stores that have the most items we want, maybe we can do some on line shopping while we're waiting in line.
MusicMama Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 While I'm not a fan of the opening time, looking at the doorbuster list has pretty much assured this store being much higher on our go-to list than in prior years. In fact, I may skip the madness at the "-marts" and head to Bon-ton.
