hockeyfanamo Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 This Christmas I plan on doing coffee/tea baskets for the 18 stations in my town. When I went on my ride out firefighters were saying how they wished people would give them things they use daily, since it is out of pocket, instead of baked goods. So I need some ideas to include. I'm thinking coffee, creamer, sugar, alternative sweetner, hot tea, honey, and cold tea. Any ideas of what else to add in? 5
pogiporkchop Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Cups and/or mugs. Maybe some small size flavored syrups. Stirring straws/sticks. 1
speeddiva Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 What a lovely idea! I'd add Hot cocoa packets too. 2
pogiporkchop Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Depending on your budget maybe include small gift cards so they can purchase whatever they like to prepare... it takes a lot to fuel firefighters. And of course don't forget the note of appreciation. 1
shopping4my3son Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Frisbee, hacky sack, playing cards, or board games. 1
LCPanther1975 Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Note pads/penspaper goods& some times you can get shaving cream/razors for almost nothing at drug stores on BF if you combine with coupons! 1
Silverstreak24 Posted October 5, 2013 Posted October 5, 2013 What a great thing to do! You seem to have a kind and generous spirit! If you can get a deal on plain cheap (as the ink stays on better) coffee mugs, you can use a sharpie to decorate them (Maybe just a "THANKS" or something written on them). Put in the oven and turn it to 475 for 30 mins. As long as the mug is a cheap one without too much coating, your marker art will stick and could make your giftbaskets pop. 1
