Brad Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 Bumping this for tonight. Hoping to get enough of you to join us so we can test out the chat/comment part of the webcast.
bigjimslade Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 we are one hour away from our test! please join us!
magickallight Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I subscribed to the channel, will I need to go to YouTube or will it appear above? I'm new to this YouTube Live stuff...
Brad Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 For those who missed it, you can watch the archived video here:
bpr Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Worked great. Some glitches, but nothing unbearable. Video and sound work good. My only gripe was I forgot there were two links. One for 'Ask a question' and one or 'Answer Trivia'. I'll have to remember to use the right one, lol.
bigjimslade Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 What did everyone think about the webcast and the new youtube platform? I want to hear your thoughts and ideas.
mcwalker Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Generally worked fine and looked good, except for the delay. I recall some significant delay last year, too though. Maybe just inherent to these systems.
riven3d Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 the delay, once again some of us have more delay than others. I see something said in chat and then minutes later I can hear bigjim typing on his keyboard.
tinkrbel Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I agree there seemed to be a delay...other then that AND having to remember not to switch between gmail accounts or getting the main gmail account setup correctly in youtube I should be fine.
magickallight Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Some freeze ups and delay on my end - but was only able to check out the first 15 minutes or so... all in all, looked good.
howpomp Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Besides the occasional drop in video, a browser refresh fixed that, it worked great. Also worked from my iPad 2 without any issues. I especially like the chat dialog with the webcast.

riven3d Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 if you do trivia, can you please type the question in the chat for those of us that have a big delay on the feed
Peppermint Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Not sure I will make it on Sat. Saturdays can be tough for me but I will definitely see everyone at any weekday ones when ads break.
bigjimslade Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 We will have a great system for triva and more!
cassgurlie04 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 just getting back here for this year, but i love the webcast, and plan on being present!
bigjimslade Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 I got keys to the large 100000sq foot prize room. I will be giving away some t shirts during this webcast. Winning t shirts wont be easy this year. I am a walking machine full of obscure triva. I will do some retail questions like I always do but I will throw in some hard non retail questions. Here is a test question. No prizes will be given. I will be very impressed if anyone can get this. Q: The lead actress in the 2011Telugu film Mirapakay who played Vinamra. What is her name and what was her life accomplishment in Demember of 2007? 1
magickallight Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Richa Gangopadhyay - she was crowned Miss India USA 2007
