jaymacfla Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBk32OUxCnU I thought I would start the video thread this year. I am trying to find some that might have not hit the mainstream. If Brad keeps the thread, perhaps you can post your all time favorite here!
jaymacfla Posted September 15, 2013 Author Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAeMeLhjswQ Here is a video of a heckler. I recently visited this very Best Buy(got the lowdown on camping there) because my son is a Marine stationed there. He is thinking about camping out with some buddies. This heckler has a posse and they stationed themselves outside the store in order to ridicule the shoppers as they went inside. I personally hink that he should have been escorted off of the property. What do you think? BTW, the shoppers were well behaved! Edited September 20, 2013 by Brad
tinkrbel Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 Wow.....These are both prime examples of why I hate going out shopping on BF. I may be in the minority on here but I most definitely do NOT go BF shopping for the "bonding" experience. I wonder if the genius in video #2 realized he was being more of a jerk than most of the ppl standing in line.
jaymacfla Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 He definitely knew what he was doing. He has an internet persona and thrives on this.
jaymacfla Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 Walmart always seems to be the worst at managing a crowd. It is no wonder why you see them in much of this 2012 Black Friday Disasters Super-cut http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBk32OUxCnU
chrisjuvers Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I'm really surprised at how well the people(shoppers) in Best Buy were acting. BF shopping in my area is not controlled like that at all!
jaymacfla Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 Best Buy normally has the best behaved lines, primarily due to the ticket system.

jaymacfla Posted October 12, 2013 Author Posted October 12, 2013 Here is a nice video that Best Buy put out to showcase the first people in line. Note that the lady specifies Saturday as the day they will celebrate thanksgiving.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMs8qC2pAME

jaymacfla Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Wild articles from 2011 Walmart, of course!http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2011/11/black-friday-violence-shopping-pepper-spray.htmlhttp://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/industries/retail/story/2011-11-25/black-friday-walmart/51399030/1
len_mullen Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 I guess I'm fortunate to be shopping in New Hampshire, because I have never experienced anything like what was in the clips. I have only ever been on queue at Staples and Kohls, but I have seen an orderly Wal-mart queue from that vantage point. The only problems I have seen is with line place holders. 1
jaymacfla Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 It seems to be an internal problem for Walmart. Reports vary, but where they establish line queues they have great success. Attitudes have to change for Walmart or it is only going to get worse. Did you notice that the first reaction of the pepper spray perpetrator was to sue Walmart when she found out that she would not be charged?

jaymacfla Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 I knew that 2011 got our crew National attention, but one member here had an interesting post about a news report in Buffalo NY, that led me to a video.....of myself! I had completely forgotten about the affiliates that used the interview from Gannet new services. Buffalo was one of two cities from my childhood that convinced me to move south as an adult. Blizzards of '67 in Chicago, and '77-'78 in Buffalo were all the snow i needed to last a lifetime!
