kiwi2121 Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 oh..sorry...I should have explained myself better...I am from Canada (have post that before). I didnt have chance to make it down to the usa friday or saturday...but my mother wants to go tomorrow. I told her nothing will be on sale anymore (thats what i am thinking) so its not worth it. I was wondering if I should just wait until the day after xmas (boxing day) to come down for some deals. sorry for the confusion
Guest general41391 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I heard Best Buy is having better sales the week of December 6th?
Reisch Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Congrats to all of you who survived another BF! lol (I didnt make it down there this year ) looking forward a bit :) besides, BF, is Boxing Day the next main day where most stores will have some major sales ????kiwi2121, Boxing Day! I miss Boxing Day sales! Unfortunately they don't celebrate Boxing Day down here in the I was out today doing some more shopping. The majority of the big ticket items were only sold on BF but there still were some good sales today. Unfortunately tomorrow may be different as Sunday is the day they start the new weekly sales here in Oklahoma City. Not sure if that is the same up in the northern states were you'll be shopping. Believe it or not I miss the snow!
kiwi2121 Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 oh gosh...I HATE ALL THIS SNOW...it is not fun at all.. lol As a child, maybe I would enjoy it more , but its just way too cold! thanks for the info.
laffnatu Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 With some of the crazys on BF.. they should rename it Boxing Day here in the States.
kiwi2121 Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 lol...Laffnatu, what type of dog is that in your pic! my daughter cant stop saying how cute he is...she is calling him a butterball! lmfao
venerdinero Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 There will be many sales before Boxing Day. They will be less concentrated (not all stores during the same 7 hours or whatever). That's why you want to stay tuned here at www.gottadeal.com so that you can best find all of these scattered sales!! There are effectively Boxing Day sales in the US, but they are "after Christmas sales" as the US doesn't recognize or celebrate boxing day.

laffnatu Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 lol...Laffnatu, what type of dog is that in your pic! my daughter cant stop saying how cute he is...she is calling him a butterball! lmfao That's my dog Brain... yep.. Brain not Brian..lol. We had another one named Pinky so we had Pinky and the Brain. We gave Pinky away though. She was a big baby and we weren't home enough to care for her like the Queen demanded. He's part poodle and part pekingese. Both were the runts of the litters, 2 separate litters. He is always licking, licking and licking some more.

MrsHoneybee Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/Nasties/spar.gif Boxing Day? http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileys/Nasties/icon1.gifThose are cute emoticons but here's info about Boxing Day....., popular usage [2] has more recently maintained that Boxing Day always falls on the 26th, and that its associated public holiday may fall on a different day. There is much dispute over the true origins of Boxing Day, but one common story of the holiday's origins is that servants and tradesmen received Christmas gifts from their employers on the first weekday after Christmas, the day after the family celebrations. These were generally called their "Christmas boxes." Another story is that this is the day that priests broke open the collection boxes and distributed the money to the poor. In Commonwealth countries, any fixed-date holidays falling on Saturday or Sunday are always observed on the next weekday, so if Boxing Day falls on a Saturday then Monday 28 December is a public holiday; while, if Christmas Day is a Saturday then both Monday 27 December and Tuesday 28 December will be public holidays.Boxing Day is 26 December. I miss the post Christmas sales back home (Australia)..they would last for 2 or 3 weeks....lots of stores would have very good bargains.
daworths8 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I have a friend in Canada (Nova Scotia) she explained all this boxing day stuff to me after I explained all the black friday stuff to her LOL we figured pretty much same thing just on different days. We have alot of after Christams sales too but I dunno Im too broke by ten to pay attention:(

LMAO I think I may need help!
kiwi2121 Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 lol..yeah Boxing day is fun, but I never seem to find the deals here that I do in the USA..and the USA seems to have such a bigger variety of things...just my opinion...and oh yeah, another thing....BOXING DAY is after XMAS , so none of the stuff that you buy can be used until the following year.
