Jimit87 Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Ok 6ave has Olympus C5000Z for $148 and u save over $250. I suggest everyone to buy this camera. But i have a question. Does this camera use SanDsik to store pictures? it says xD but does it let us use SanDisk? Please someone help me before i make my mind. Thank You.
sperdue Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 San Disk is a brand, it can use that brand, but XD instead of SD
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 so i can use SD, right?Wrong. SanDisk is a manufacturer. xD is a media standard and so is SD, they are NOT the same. The Olympus C-5000-Z accepts xD media not SDhttp://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/OLYC5000/C50A10.HTM
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 xD media cards: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/new-for-you/top-sellers/-/photo/1162366/
Jimit87 Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Ok thanks. i am kinda noob about this thing. Ok i am not gonna buy this camera afterall.
RossMAN Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I would buy a Canon PowerShot which uses SD media. According to this review here are some similiar models worth considering: Canon PowerShot G3, G5 and S50, Fuji FinePix F700 and S7000 (I suppose), Kodak EasyShare DX6440, Minolta DiMAGE A1, Nikon Coolpix 5400, Olympus C-5060Z Wide Zoom, and the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V1.
