Rebates

Make sure you read the fine print on the rebates before you throw away your boxes and send them in.

I have never noticed this before, but along with the UPC, it says you need to include the original UPC bar code symbol with the model # attached from the package for verification.

And all rebates must be postmarked before 12/23/12.

I had to basically send the bottom panel along with the top panel from the item I bought. If I was going to try and give one of these as gifts - no way!! Glad they were just for me.

It depends on what item(s) you bought.

I just have to send along the UPC code for my $20 rebate for the 10 pc. French White Corning Ware set but mine must be postmarked by 12/08!

I will still give mine as a gift though: it's just a small portion cut from the bottom of the box. It's worth it and I know the recipient won't mind and won't return it.

Thanks for the reminder though!

I had my rebate already printed out but didn't realize it needed to be postmarked so soon.

I always try to mail my rebates in asap. Most only give you 30 days from the purchase date. Always make a copy of everything you send. I usually put the rebate form (filled in) and the UPC on the scanner to make a copy to keep. I've had to use a copy like that for a rebate before (not at Kohl's) and they honored it. Currently I'm waiting on my Keurig rebate (bought machine at Kohl's). They received it and it's in process, so that is a good sign.

I've always gotten my rebates too - but the model number from the packaging was new to me! Glad I read all the fine print before I recycled the box. This was for the appliance rebate - it covers the popcorn maker, the griddle, crock pots, etc.

And I forgot that one of them is actually a gift. I was able to peel off the UPC code and the model number and not actually cut the box. I guess if he doesn't like it, I just got a new small crockpot!

Now that you mention it,I remember having to send in the model number last year for something (crockpot maybe?) but it was for me so I didn't mind. I did have to cut out the small UPC on a set of knives last year and gave them as a bridal shower gift for my nephew's fiancee, but she also likes a deal and totally understood :yup:

These appliance deals make wonderful bridal shower/wedding gifts if you know the recipient won't mind a tiny square cut out of the bottom of the box!

I received a set of Corningware French white bakeware for my bridal shower over 22 years ago,and they are the one thing I use almost daily and still love them.

I am hoping my godson/nephew gets engaged this coming Christmas and this will make a special gift for his bride-to-be. Getting this deal at Kohl's makes it possible to give this great gift without breaking my budget!

Your posts prompted me to check my rebate forms. I realized that while I printed the form for the Pyrex, I forgot to print the form for the quesadilla maker and it is no longer on Kohl's site. Do you have any idea where I can find it? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I just replied to your other post about looking for it: HERE

I got my Corningware French White set today and while cutting out the UPC on the bottom of the box,I was happy to discover that there seem to be 2 brown cardboard layers on the bottom (probably because that stuff is HEAVY) so I was able to remove the code for the rebate and not leave a hole in the box :)

Got mine all ready to mail tomorrow!
