wendyg73 Posted November 21, 2012 Posted November 21, 2012 I wanted to let everyone know of the experience I had picking up the Virgin Mobile Iphone 4s 16g at the store. I decided to go yesterday and pick up the phone before the the rush that is Black Friday. They are selling the phone for $449.00, $50 cheaper than the black Friday ad price which is $500.00. I arrived at the store at 9:30 am, and was not able to get it because the person who had to activate it wasn't there to do it. I then came back when the person was there and I thought I could just pick up the phone and leave. That is not the case. Per the people who have to activate the phone, it is Target policy to have the phone activated before you can leave the store. I should have just walked out at that point, but I didn't. My daughter has an existing account with Virgin, but I didn't know her pin number. After getting upset that this is turning into a complicated matter that I was not expecting, I was about to just return it. The guy who had to activate it then mentioned that we could open another account. In order to open another account, I had to pay $35 for the monthly service which no one will be using because it is a christmas present. I am pretty upset about the whole situation, and have tried calling corporate but have gotten no response back. Please be aware ANYONE buying the Virgin Iphone will have to go through the same thing I did and pay for a month of service when no one will be using it. Last year I had gotten a Virgin Mobile phone from Best Buy and had no such problem!

Or you can always order it from the virginmobileusa.com website for the same price and free shipping (You will need to have it activated there too).
