I can't decide between the 2 of these and wonder if anyone that has them or is planning on buying them has an opinion. I also wonder if I would be just as well off finding a $100 tablet and getting that. It wouldn't have the cartridges but would be there be apps that would be just as great??

I bought innotabs for my kids last year and they're great. They play with them all the time. I've never been a fan of leapfrog everything I've ever bought from them has NEVER worked. I do suggest buying a dc wall charger for it cause they burn through batteries quick.

We have never had a problem with any Leapfrog item we have bought. We also use rechargeable batteries, stopped using regular batteries the year I found GD (love this website).

We got the Leap Pad 2 for dd for Christmas...we own tons of Leap Frog stuff, never any issues...one the other hand, I've had to call vtech more than once about their products...guess everyone has their own experiences...
