I personally recommend this iPod Touch! One of the best devices around, it will provide hours and hours of enjoyment for every age! I love mine and very rarely leave home without it. It's very useful while sitting in doctor appointments, waiting for meetings or airplanes, etc.

My daughter is asking for an IPOD Touch for her birthday...I like the idea of the engraving that Apple does for this, do they ever have a coupon code or sale on these? trying to decide if the extra cash is worth it...

I think this is the same price to buy a re-furbished one from Apple. It doesn't come engraved but it does come with a 1-year warranty. I can't decide if I'm getting my daughter an Ipod touch or a Samsung Galaxy player for Christmas.

OK, now i'm deciding between an 8gb 4th gen refurbished for $149 OR a new 16gb for $200...what to do?! Help? Not sure if the 8gb addition is neccessary?

I'd like ot know also. I am unfamiliar with the iPods and not sure if an 8gb is enough memory for a 6 year old?

My 7 year old son has the 8gb. I personally would get the larger one learning from my own experience. It all depends on how u will use it. Apps and music don't take much space, but my son likes to use it to take pictures. He also has a few cartoon videos from app store. He is constantly deleting things to make room for new stuff.
