Early Black Friday Predictions

Needs a deal

Recommended Posts

Walmart will have DVD's from .99, 4.99, 9.99 Blu Rays will be maybe down to 1.99, 4.99, 9.99. I have seen a few blu rays this year down to 4.00 and 5.00. With the Nintendo DSi at $100 it might come down to $89.97 There is also the new WiiU that might come out during the holidays. This might be year for sales again. There hasnt been the best of sales yet this year so maybe they might be saving the sales for Black Friday Week :D I think there will be a Black Friday Week instead of just a day. Like how they have Cyber Week now.

I think there might be a war... The range is between $150 - $250. I would love to get a tablet but must have the USB port which make the Google tablet out of running . I love Amazon but they don't have enough apps for me to take into consideration and also the fact is that I already got a 2nd generation Kindle reader so I don't need another reader.

1. Amazon ( rumored) new Fire Tablet

2. Google's Nexus 7 : which is out of stock as soon as it is up for sale

3. Archos' 97 Carbon (rumor at $250)

4. Apple ( ok, this is another rumor ) : mini-Ipad ?

And, not really in the running but Microsoft's Surface.

Hopefully I can get an Ipod touch or some sort of tablet at a decent price. My DS hasnt decided which of those he would like from santa but knows he wants one for sure. I try to stick with a budget of $300 for each child but that is getting harder to do with my DS getting older and wanting more expensive items

Looking to get 3 Kindle Fires, anyone think there will be any deals on those?

Add me to the list for the Kindle Fire's. I'm looking to get 1 each for my mom, DD9 and DS soon to be 5. He got the leap pad for Christmas last year but since he uses an old iPhone as an iPod touch he wants something that he can do more on. I'll just pass the leap pad to DD soon to be 2.

I predict I will be spending by $50 sears egift card and then washing my hands of that company altogether. (time to look over last years stuff and see if they offered free shiping or site to store)

I'd like to see a nice desktop pc or barebones system at about 250.

Looks like the rumor is correct. Apple is going to debut a Ipad Mini in October. Here is the article.

I predict $3.99 low-end appliances & $5 Pajama Pants, Kindles for $70, Furbies for $49.99, and a really good computer deal.

I had a Furby and it was pink. I remember I had spent extra money on that thing because the color was special , or something like that. Icks. They are coming back. The first time they were here, they drove me nuts and had to pull the battery out.

Will hard drives drop back down in price thus year?

That's a great question. Market conditions say no, but my eyes tell me something else.

Prices for spinning disks peaked after the floods in Malaysia and never really came down. BUT I got a 2t usb 3 seagate disk at staples a couple weeks ago for $63 -- which feels BFish to me. I am seeing solid state disks fall as well. Internal spinning disks are getting no bigger and no cheaper. Last ones I purchased were 2t@$60 ea.

I think we are going to see a lot of deals on tablets. Looks like Amazon and Apple are fixing bayonets and Goodle has entered the fray. HP has a new tablet, the new windows tablets are out, and there are a lot of crazy cheap chinese tabs that aren't half bad.

Definately TVs. What B&M doesn't already have an 80" Sharp on display? Don't they look good? LOL. I put a 42" 720p plasma in my kid's room for $270 earlier this year. I can see 50" plasmas at $300.

Windows 8 is out. I'm hoping for some really good deals on ivy bridge computers running win8. My kid wants a new desktop with a screaming video card. Come on Staples...

Can't wait!
