abbeyainscal Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Ok, just recently shopped at Disney store 2x and both employees told me that the entire store will be 20% off on BF before 10 am (opening may vary). Now, maybe that's common knowledge but then the guy told me the 1st weekend in Dec, most of the toys boy BOGO. So, for what it's worth - 2 employees told me this - my twin girls were really into a vanity set they had for $98 bucks each - yea right! - Linda
aerosmithgirl Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I know I saw online at Tanger outlets that the Disney Store outlet was 20% off before 10 or 12 in my area, but I wasn't sure that it applied to the regular stores or not.

Disney Outlets are for the online/catalog merch and sometimes liquidates for Parks and ESPN/ABC, etc. June
mandimama Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 Thanks for the heads up on the BOGO...I hit the sale last year and got some great deals!!
Vickis3js Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 my twin girls were really into a vanity set they had for $98 bucks each - yea right! Are they the plastic ones? If so if you have a big lots they had the new blue cinderella one for $29!! They stand up pretty nicely too. I got the one for my DD last year and as much as its been tossed around and knocked over its still intact and not a crack in it! Now I am hoping to get to the outlets a little earlier to hit that sale! Vicki

VickiI did hear about these Vicki - but, the guy said something about a Wal-Mart BF one for $39 - I didn't see it on here, anyone know anything? We do have Big Lots but it's sort of far away so not sure I'd get there.
Mommie2one Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I like the Disney Store, but even with the 20% off, they are so pricey. I bought some pajamas there once on a clearance but thats about it
best4less Posted November 12, 2005 Posted November 12, 2005 I like the Disney Store, but even with the 20% off, they are so pricey.I agree. I have gone in here plenty of times to look around but I can't think of any time I've actually bought anything.

Thats the only thing I can think of that would be $39. The one I got is similar but not interactive its just the light up one. I don't see the one I thought Big Lots carried so now I am wondering if its that one as well. If I go soon I will check and let you know if you would like! Vicki
vonnyb Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Thanks!! I wanted to get a couple chicken little items for my son, so I will wait for the sale.
Christypl Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 I love when they do their toy sale! I stock up for bdays then too.

copados1993 Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 I went to our Disney store last year and it was great! I got a few stocking stuffers and some other gifts besides. I'm almost thinking that we had gotten some kind of a free stuffed animal. I could be wrong on that, but I really don't think so. I just know it was great. Very long lines, but they seemed to have things going smoothly in there. I'd go back again.
kjunea Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 Disney Outlets are located around some of the tourist areas. There is one in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware, San Marcos, Texas, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (where I used to work), Some place near DC in Virginia at a big shopping area, and the main warehouse in the middle of nowhere in South Carolina. I know the outlets in Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head are closed. There used to be outlets in Branson, MO and in Gulf Shores, ALA, but I'm not sure if they are open or closed. I worked for them part-time for 3 years (I'm a teacher really) just for the perks. I would get into the park free, park free, stay at the hotels for $25-100 a night (All-star cheapest price to Grand Floridian), discounts in parks on lots of stuff, get free tickets twice a year for my family, discounts on other tickets I bought, plus they have an outlet of things that we could buy that came from the parks. They would also sell "lost" items either 60 or 90 after being found if no one claimed. You would be amazed how many cameras, expensive sunglasses, babystrollers, etc that would go on sale! Since I was single at the time, I would go there 4-5 times a year for a long weekend! I called a friend that I worked with at the outlet last night since I haven't been by the outlet in a couple of months due to school starting back and being on medical leave at the moment. She said that as of Labor Day, they (and the catalog too) are not owned by Disney either. They are owned by the company that owns the Disney Stores and leases Disney's name. Disney has final say on the product that goes out into the stores, but not much else. They don't get the perks that we used to get either as much. They still get the free tickets, but the castmember doesn't get in free anymore, etc. She also said that they were keeping pretty mum on what was going to be on sale on BF. (We used to know about a month ahead of time, the managers more than that.) I went by the Disney Store and my friend that works there said they haven't been told either. I will keep my ear to the ground though. June
rosegarden Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 So do you think that would include the Disney stores at Disney World?????

I waited and bought it after x-mas for like $19 when it was $89 in the store before. I would have been so mad if I had paid full price like I did for the 100 dollar dress up trunk that I saw in the store later for 29 dollars.
