stiltman
I have now spent about 7 grand (yes $7,000.00) at best buy this year at one store and the store managers know me and it looks like one does not like me.... for tonight I went there to get some 3d blu-ray movies and to p.m. just 2 of them for a grand total of $4.00 big dollars off my order of $150. but she went off when the checker asked if they p.m. FRY'S and she said NO and that (pointing at me) customer should know that we dont p.m. frys because the nearest one is 32 miles away and they only p.m. stores within 30 miles. Well looks like the bb near me will not be getting any more of my money. I see that they are pushing customers towards online shopping as I'M finding it so much easier and less of a hassel. All this over $4 DOLLARS now I have to wait and call to make sure the day manager is there before I go in and I know he will honor a p.m. from frys. What is ya'lls opion should I just spend the extra 4 bucks??? or should I stand my ground and get the $4 bucks off???
noehlp
Hmmm... that's a little ridiculous of that manager - all over 2 extra miles - seriously, for $4 she wouldn't match it? It does sound like she doesn't care for you by her reaction to you. Financially speaking - if she won't match it, then still buy it at Best Buy, unless you regularly go to the area the Fry's is at. Otherwise you will be paying more in gas for your vehicle than the cost of saving $4. I guess if it was me, I'd buy the movies at BB (gas saving). BUT then I'd contact corporate BB or whomever is over this manager, because the way she went about it (pointing at you, etc) was very rude, not customer friendly either. Rules I guess are rules, so if it's 30 miles, it's 30 miles - BUT if I was the manager I would bend it, since we are talking 2 extra miles, the $4. I'm sure I'm not giving you much help, sorry. tinkrbel
There's no Target or Walmart near you? Was this a manager or store manager? If it was not the STORE manager, I'd make them aware ASAP. Our BB had few ppl on staff on Tuesday so maybe they're a little busy if employees have been cut and there's a holiday rush but that's no excuse to take it out on customers. While we don't know if this person is aware of your shopping history with them I think a simple "sorry, that store is not in our pm radius" would suffice, I had a Lowe's rep pull that during an over hour long stay when it should have been a quick pick up and you better believe the manager put her in her place. I agree I'd probably stay away from that store BUT with BB.com's recent bews articles I'm not sure that'd be a better option. PLUS I doubt free shipping will remain once the holidays are over.
