Stand mixer advice

I'm looking for a decent basic stand mixer that comes with a cover that can be used while mixing. I'm looking for something around $40. My 19 year old daughter asked for one for Christmas and I'm having a hard time finding something. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I would advise against buying aga cheap one. Mine burned up while beating egg whites the first time I used it. They ahve plastic guts.

Thanks for your thoughts, ladies. I'm wondering if I should get her a decent hand mixer (w/o stand) and separately purchase a bowl with a splatter guard. Any leads ?
