I have a cousin who is in hte 8-10 year old range, who has everything. I don't want to spend more than $10 on her, because she won't play with it anyway, which would be better, a CPK (the $10 one at Wal-Mart) or a Care Bear (the $5 one at Wal-mart)?

I don't have any children, so I don't even know what is popular with this age group. Any ideas?

I wouldn't get either of those for a child that age. Especially if she already has everything.

Have you asked her parents what she likes? Or considered buying books, or other similar items for her?

I had a Cabbage Patch when I was 10 & loved it. Actually I had 4 by that age. I posted a reply in your other thread. I suggested maybe one of those Bratz dolls. Those are pretty popular & I am sure you can find a bargain on those somewhere.

My DD is 12 and still loves the Bratz Collection and the CPK are stuck in a big rubbermaid tub about 15 of them (most of which where mine)

No way on either. Alot of girls that age are starting to "grow up" the Bath an Body set is a good idea, some girls like those kits to make things, bracelets, hair stuff, etc. That maybe a good bet too.

But, no CPK or CareBear!

It all depends on the child. My girls are 12 and 13 and they bothe want the Care Bears. I am getting a CPK Baby for myself because I still have mine from way back when and I am thinking ahead, they will be great gifts at great prices if you need one during the year.
