I definitely wouldn't get it for a serious gamer but it's okay for the casual gamer that's not saving entire campaigns and the like.

My kids would need the 250GB but for a newbie XBOX 360 or someone on a budget, this will work and you could upgrade to a new system in the future.

yes it will play old games.This is a AWESOME deal.Considering kinects is $150.That makes the Xbox $50 or $150 depending on how you look at it.Use the $100 GC to buy a bigger memory which snaps right into the Xbox.I wish i didnt spend $300 last year for the 240 GB for my son or i so would be buying this one.

I caved and got the 240 gb with kinect. It seems to be the same price everywhere so I'm assuming the only thing that may change price wise is the gift card amount... So, I didn't want to chance it since I've seen 50 and 75 gift cards in other stores..

Not likely. XBox 360 is not fully backwards compatible with regular XBox games It is game dependent. Wikipedia has a list as well as other sites. Only some top selling games were.

You cannot put the full size systems HD onto the slim. But a slim to a slim yes.

Ughhh….why did I just notice that Walmart will be selling the same Xbox 360 bundle for $199 with a $50 gift card? That’s a savings of $50 over the Best Buy deal. I’m going to try to get that this week and then return the items at Best Buy…#keeping fingers crossed

Yes, it is on page 7A of the ad and says only at Walmart.com. It also says it is an E-Gift Card for walmart.com ($50)

 

Update: Walmart is selling two bundles,both $199 with $50 card. The one I'm referring to here is NOT the one with Kinect. The Kinect one is in stores, I don't know if it will be online.
