allshoppedout
My house is very dry, we have a humidifier supposedly "built in" to the heating system, well I feel no moisture ever, and it's been checked and is "working fine"... anyway I need some suggestions from you for anaffordable humidifier, that doesn't need cleaned daily, doesn't collect MOLD, etc. Need to keep the price approx 50 dollar/less, but buy one that does the job--even if it's smaller/work for smaller areas, I could maybe do two 30 dollar ones for different rooms and move around my house. I can't afford 100 dollars for some big one/nor do I want it sitting around. There are so many on the market, I don't know where to begin. I'd like to hear from someone who has one that has really helped their breathing/air quality. thanks to anyone who can help on this :)
tinkrbel
I would stay away from this one, Vicks Filter Free Humidifier. You can see the mist but it requires cleaning and does not come fully apart. If stuff does build it you would have to trash it.http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/32/87/85/34/0032878534500_180X180.jpg

Many/most people who need a humidifier have asthma/llergies/other issues, so how would it be good to have to clean mold out of this? ?

HansieDZ
I live in the midwest which means we need humidifiers in the winter and dehumidifiers in the summer. I have always used the Holmes brand humidifiers. I always start with a new filter, and that usually lasts me the whole winter. No one in my family is allergic/sensitive though so we can get away with the bare minimum.
