vengx Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Thats pretty good although it seems to be a generic brand. Compusa has HP brand DVD-R and DVD+R 50pks for 14.99 this week - so 500 would be $149.90 which is a half-way decent price for name brand dvd blanks.
Rebirth Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 That is ALOT of DVDs, and since the price is so high even though it's cheap per DVD. I wouldn't buy it for that, and the speed. lol
OmegaZero Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Wow...I could seriously go through that in about 6 months to a year....hmmm....
Marcster Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 This week, Staples has Imation 100-pks for $24.94 w/no rebate... so 500 would be $127.70. I think that is in-store only, though.
Guest Frieked Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Newegg has 100 for $21 so 500 would be $105, no rebateshttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817132007
Marcster Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Personally, I have had problems with the longevity of the "off-brands". You can burn them o.k., but then in a few months they won't read. If you compare an "off-brand" to a name brand, like Imation, Verbatim, Fuji, Sony, etc., you can see that the name brand is like 1/3 thicker. That may have something to do with it. So, only name brands for me. Even if the off-brand DVDs were FAR (free after rebate)...
