In the past we have had a big group go. This year

Mom and Dad (he loves BF) are out of the country

DS#3 and DIL moved to Wisconsin (they always did Target for me)

DD#1 just had a baby so I am not sure she is going out this year or her DH

DS#4 and DIL are going to have Thanksgiving with her family and she will shop with her mom

DS#2 lives outside of Seattle and won't be home this year

DS#1 plans to shop with me but DIL does not like crowds (may ask her to shop online for me)

DD#2 is only 8 but she is begging to go with me. Not sure about that yet.

My Aunt is coming in from Wisconsin but she will shop with her girls She will take my list for whatever store they are going to though so that will help.

My SIL wants to go but my brother has to be at work early (Chick-Fil-A) she will be glad TRU is opening at 10.

So the only ones for sure going are me and DS#1 I hope the sales are good before BF so I can get a lot done.

How about you???

It is always just my sister and I. Tradition now for ten years. It is by far our favorite day of the year. Hanging out shopping for hours and hours. Neither of us wanted to give up the tradition of just her and I getting to hang out all day, so we have never had anyone else go with us. We figured it would slow us down and we also dont want to give up any room in the vehicle for anyone elses stuff.

My mom, sister, friend, and I usually all go to Walmart. That is the only major retail store in our area. Then me and my friend usually leave and go out of town (about 1 1/2 hours) to do the rest of our shopping. My boys may go with us to Walmart also. Depending on what we need. They are old enough to sit in line for something if we need them too and they are also old enough to grab some movies/games.

This year though I don't think my friend and I are going together (long story). Instead my husband is going with me. This is his first year!! He really doesn't care to go, but he doesn't want me going alone. We also will probably make a stop at Guitar Center this year. I have twin boys that are 13. One of them has really been wanting electric drums for years and the other one has been wanting a new elctric guitar for the past year. So, we are hoping that we can suprise them this year.

I am looking forward to my DH going with me, but at the same time I dread it. He is not much of a shopper. lol. But I know he is wanting to pick out the guitar and drum set. I am hoping that they put them on sale sooner so he won't feel like he has to go..lol.

Might be me alone this time, or I may have 19 year-old nephew along who has joined me in past years.

Usually pick up my wife later in the morning to hit Kohl's, but might try to get her to line up with her sister at a store spearate from me this year. We'll see.

Just me and my mom always. This year DD and her friends plan to go on their own now that they can drive and are old enough to go it alone. I've been prepping her lately on how to handle it but I doubt any of them will be up in time for door busters. They are still teens after all. They'll probably not get moving till at least 9 or 10.

It's always MIL, SIL, mom, 2 aunts, and 1 cousin, DH, and myself. We usually go to Walmart first and if we don't need DH, he heads across the road to Home Depot for tools and such..... It's nice to have a group this size, because you can split up your list of needs by what is in what area and most of us split up to get everything and get out quickly. It speeds things up so much. Started out years ago by myself, then my wife started joining me, or going to alternate stores so we could hit all the sales. About 4 years ago my daughter started going with us and this year for the first time my son will be joining the team (as a trainee, lol). Also my daughter has a friend from school that wants to join in part because she knows we are always first and get in the newspaper every year. My sister-in-law is coming this year. She's gone a few times in the past but not every year. Also a tenant that rents one of my inlaws properties is joining the team. This is one of the largest teams I've had yet, also my nephew who has gone a few times may be joining the team again this year. Normally it's about 3 or 4 of us, this year it's looking like 8 and 3 more possible.

This year we will be at our in-laws in a different city so it will probably be just me and my 76 year old father-in-law. He isn't much of a shopper but is up that early anyway so the past few years he has started tagging along. Its nice to have the company and someone else to stand in line if we need more than one of something. He hardly ever buys much but always pushes the cart or helps me carry stuff. I have gone alone before and its not that bad because I'm not stuck waiting on anyone or trying to find each other in the crowd. But I don't mind the FIL coming with me, he mostly just follows me around or stays with the cart so its a win-win situation :D

My 12 yo DD said she might go this year but when it comes down to it, I doubt she will want to get up so early. My DH went one year, and refuses to go again and it wasn't even early, lol it was like 9 am! He would rather spend 5x the amount on something than wait in line or be in a crowd.
