I know I will be up all night and turns out I might be traveling out of state so its not going to be my normal black Friday, so I'm kinda scared because I don't know the stores in TX I'm from FL. You will do just fine with advance knowledge gained from your preparations.I have done a few Black Friday's while traveling for Thanksgiving. I suggest using either Google Maps or Google Earth to seach for store locations, then save locations with markers and print the maps to take with you. In most metropolitan areas, you will find some of the key stores scattered around, but there are usually a few key areas where many of the key Black Friday stores are concentrated. If you plan to hit a number of stores on BF, consider going to one of these areas where many stores are concentrated, even if they are farther than some stores closest to where you will be staying. If you have time, try to take a drive to familiarize yourself with the store locations (and maybe go inside to see layouts). I have at least 3 "trainees" this year, possibly more by BF. I have already starting training my son by making him get out of bed quickly in the mornings, stay close to me in stores, and carry a bunch of stuff in his arms, lol. I know there is always a lot of controversy over taking kids. Having gone for many years, I base my decision to take them or not on whether they can do it safely at their level. My daughter has been going with me since she was 8 and until she was ready, her main job was to get on the BB line while I shopped, and then went right to the front. He has been bugging me to go for many years but I refused until I felt he could handle it safely. Now that my daughter is 13 this year (and taller than my wife, lol) she is a veteran herself and been a huge asset to being able to be in more than 1 place in the store at a time, lol. Our usual plan for Best Buy is we all have a few items to get, while the youngest (or slowest) in our group goes immediately the the front of the line. Been a while but I was in the Marines back in the early 90s, my MOS was aircraft Maint. 60/61. Since you're in Florida he will go to MCRD Parris Island. Tell him to say hello to Big Al for me if he's still around, lol. They had to put up 2 foot fences around some of the climbing obstacles because underneath was water (ok, technically MUD, lol) and they had a problem with Big Al (a 14' gator) that liked to lay in the mud under the obstacles, lol. They will offer "bug juice" which supposedly is a bug repellant but from my own experience I usually found I had less bugs bothering me when I didn't use the "bug juice" than when I did.
