IPOD 30 GB PHOTO COLOR

This is on DS #1 Christmas wish list, actually he said an Ipod, not a shuffle... after researching and deliberating, I've decided to (probably) go with the 30 GB. It seems that the price on these doesn't really fluctuate much-been seeing the $299 mark-, but I'm hoping maybe someone, somewhere will have a deal on this item... maybe including some extras even.

if you know anyone in education, you can knock $20 off that. not too much, but better than nothing!

I wouldn't count on any huge deals... Ipods basically sell themselves and don't really require any discounts for people to buy them.

Items that are usually discounted the most are things that people wouldn't normally buy unless they get a really really good deal, ie a laptop for $400.

It's called a loss leader, something a company is going to take a loss on in order to get people in the door to buy other stuff.

PC Connection has the 30 GB Ipod w/Video for $294 - $20MIR = $274. It's priced better than the iPod photo, but does everything the photo version does, plus it plays video.

I had a question regarding an Ipod that I am going to buy so I called Apple and the sales clerk asked where my husband worked (since the Ipod is for him) I told her and she said we get a discount. So call Apple and see if your company gets a discount.
