reportermomof3
Our first Target opened up a couple weeks ago and I was wondering how long their early bird items are around. Do they usually stock enough that I could go there second after Wal-Mart? I was planning to go to Wal-Mart first since it is a 24-hour store and pm as many Target items as I could, but if I can't get those items at Wal-Mart I'd want to go to Target later. awellis
Most of the time, the 24 hr Walmarts actually close at around 11 pm or midnight and then reopen at 5 am or whenever the sales start. I don't think Target usually opens any earlier than their normal 8 am. So if that's the case, your problem is solved!
Guest all2tired
Unless the stores changed things, if you have the circular for the Target showing their sale prices, then walmart will accept it. Last year Walmart did and TRU too Check with them prior to BF to make sure they still accept competitor prices
outnumbered
Target has been opening at 7 am here on BF, so it's quite possible you could get in and out of Walmart and over to Target before they opened. Target is a ZOO, though, and if you're not one of the first people in the checkout lines it's going to take you 2 hours to get out of there. At least that's what the one here is like. Getting the doorbusters is iffy if you're not there when the store opens, in my experience.

You just can't touch the BF merchandise until 6 a.m. I haven't the foggiest idea how early Target will be open, but it's not a 24-hour store, so I would be freezing my buns off here in PA if I went there first. I plan to pm any Target items that I can, but Wal-Mart may not carry everything that I want. I know they only had a handful of items that I wanted to pm from TRU and Kmart last year. fairydustcrissy
My targets also open at 7. I usually get there around 9, and get abount 25% of hte doorbusters. Just depends on what it is though.
elena_398
Target here opens at 6am. Paper always says 7am, but the manager has opened early for the past 2 yrs. Toys R Us has done the same thing. They have opened at 5am. I wish Target was 7am so I could take advantage of more door busters
JanaBanana
On Black Friday I do believe Target opens earlier then normal and stay open later then it normally does. I LOVE that store!
elena_398
Target check out lines are the worst. Last year they wrapped all the way back to the dressing rooms. I had a few items, but it took over an hour to check out. Glad I had already hit my main stores (TRU, KB, and Walmart)
genoandkiddo
A few BF's ago my Target opened at 5am along with Kmart. I was so mad because they had a student desk for 13.00 and I wanted to get one well I went to kmart first and missed out on that good price. (Didn't know Target would ever open that early)
D2230
Well I just have to say ~ I am jealous! I live 87 miles from the closest Target, Sears, TRU and mall ~ We do have the PX and 1 Walmart ~ not much to choose from ~ I guess I can take solice in the fact that I won't be spending as much money Maybe I can get in on a few deals online ~ :) Michelle
