Apple stuff tends to be overpriced, but heavily marketed, MP3 players have been around a long time, but Apple made them much more visible to the public.

 

DigDoug's suggestion is a better MP3 player IMHO. (If you can get over the IPOD hype)

For the price point you are at, the Sandisk player is a quality MP3 player. There is a lot of hype around the Ipod lineup. I just bought an Ipod Nano, but there isn't anything out there similiar to it.

No, I doubt you will get much for the Ipod nano on Ebay if you are thinking of reselling. The nano possibly if the supply is still short.
