nineofus
Anyone have any experience with this particular unit? I'm ready to get a bluetooth headset now, but have no idea which one to get. (I know there have been other threads in which this was discussed, but I wasn't ready to buy then.) Anyway, my phone is a Sony Ericsson, so this seems like a logical choice for compatibility, but I would like for someone with experience (with this unit or any other bluetooth headset) to chime in. * Is there anyway to copy this to the lounge for maximum exposure? My advice is to research, research and more research by reading reviews. Two of the best sources are HoFo and good 'ole Google searches. I searched Google for "HowardForums HBH-300" and found these two threads:http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=496049http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=492414 Reviewshttp://www.lordpercy.com/sony_ericsson_hbh-300.htmhttp://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/review.php?reviewId=591http://www.expansys.com/review.asp?code=114272http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00076Q2YA/ Official press releasehttp://www.mobile-review.com/articles/2004/se-acs-1507-en.shtml I've done extensive research on the best bluetooth headset taking into consideration value, comfort and performance. So far I have read nothing but rave reviews for the Plantronics Voyager 510 which is about $15 cheaper from Amazon.com Here two helpful reviews which swayed my decision:http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=659510http://www.barjohn.com/Plantronics_V510.htm I hope that helps :) Ross

RossMAN
Thanks, Ross. I was kinda starting to feel invisible. Do you use a bluetooth headset?Nope you're not invisible at all, I wish I had seen your post sooner I have a brand new Motorola HS820 which I haven't opened yet. I'll probably sell it. I'll probably buy the Plantronics 510 and give that a try, I hope I'm happy with it's comfort and performance.
nineofus
I'll read through the reviews when I get home and order one later this week or over the weekend. I'm starting to see them more and more of the bluetooth sets down here and figure the bugs have been worked out enough now to go ahead and lay down the cash. That Motorola HS820 looks really cool. Looking really cool is very important to me, so maybe I'll look into that one.
mrn8
I also have the Moto HS820, but unlike RossMAN, I actually use mine. It works very well. The nice thing is that my car charger for my Motorola phone also charges the BT headset, so I don't have to carry multiple chargers with me. The only thing I don't like is that the earpiece has gotten kind of loose, so the headset sometimes moves around on my ear. I'm sure I can tighten it, I just haven't tried, yet. Guest DigDoug
I wish I had seen this thread. I read review after review and it seemed every headset had a set of good comments and a set of bad comments. That's when I took it upon myself to test a few headsets and decide on them. I think the price of these items qualifys for a trial period before buying it. I'll definetly let you know what I thought about the 4 I am testing. I am down to 3 out of the 4, and I eliminated others without even trying them. The Jabra brand has some ugly headsets and the Motorola brand has alot of headsets that are the same style, but different model. I chose the newer model with Motorola.
