praveenml Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 I just wonder why nobody talks about deals on Christmas day , Thanks Giving day , Halloween Day and so on. Will there be any deals these days or only on BF ? -Praveen
Brad Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Black Friday traditionally has the best deals, but stores have pretty good ads each week from BF until Christmas. Last year once BF was over we made this forum a general "Holiday Shopping" board as there were still many great deals to be found during the month after BF.
RossMAN Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Praveen, 99.9% of the American stores will be closed on Christmas. Most likely after Christmas several stores will have clearance sales.
praveenml Posted October 5, 2005 Author Posted October 5, 2005 oh I didnt know that RossMan, Thanks for the info!
elena_398 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I go out on Thanksgiving day. There is some good deals but only select stores are open. Kmart is where I go every year. They always put video games really cheap. Especially Game Boy Advance/Sp ones (usually $7.99). Bedding too. I remember last year I bought 2 pillows (grandpa big ones) for only $2 each.

I'll have the BF ads, so it will be nice to check Thanksgiving prices, maybe I'll find good deals that will save me time.
elena_398 Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 I look forward to the after christmas sales too. I got all my wrapping paper at Walmart during their clearance last year. 60 cents a roll. I bought about 10 rolls to put away. I also got tags for 15 cents, Bow packs for 25 cents. I also got bath gift sets for under $3, My fathers cologne he loves for $6 (down from $20. So I have some gifts already bought last year for this year!

So I have some gifts already bought last year for this year! I did that two years ago and just swept up every roll of wrapping paper I could get my hands on! I STILL have enough paper for this year! LOL I thought my hubby was going to kill me! But he doesn't say a word when we don't have to buy wrapping paper at full price! I am hoping to take advantage of the sales after Christmas this year again so maybe I can get enough for another two years! :)
