celticnurse
so here i am w/3 grown kids and a granddaughter. i don't know how i ever made it through shopping for christmas w/o fighting the crowds on black friday. but here i am and living to tell about it. whoever started this board....THANK YOU!!! i've been reading some of the threads and have gotten some tips and pointers of how to conduct my BF experience this year, as it will be my first. what i'm wondering is what is all this pallet talk regarding walmart? i rarely shop at walmart b/c of the way they conduct business w/suppliers...that is a personal choice and am considering letting up on that so i can get some good deals from there...they are the cheapest place in town AND we have a new supercenter that has prices that beats GIANT, SUPERFRESH and FOOD LION any day. so, in the spirit of getting more bang for my buck, i'm throwing in my boycott towel (for the moment, anyway) to give walmart a chance at my money. so, someone please tell me what this pallet thing is w/walmart!!! thanks. elena_398
Since you will have a supercenter, its 24 hours right? Anyway, even though you can get into the store before BF pricing begins (6am I think) you cannot touch the BF merchandise thats on pallets throughout the store. They are tarped and will be opened once 6am comes around. So if you do go there first this year, you'll see all the tarped pallets of merchandise and know they are the BF items in the ad. celticnurse
so, instead of stocking those items on the proper shelves, they'll be on pallets throughtout the store? so, for instance, if i'm looking for a specific toy, the shelf is empty, but the pallet could be ANYWHERE in the store that has the item? or will the pallet be near where it gets stocked? Guest Deals4Me
yep...If they want it to be in clothing, its there. Mine in Bourbonnais litterally had toasters in toys, the digital stuff in seasonal and a few hot toys were in electronics. FAUSTRATING. But they told you outside with a map of where things were.
