trob67 Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 My daughter is buying a WII for her brother, 6yrs old, and we need to find the best price possible. Please advise what you would get as far as acessories. I know the black kit comes with the controller and nunchuk but what else would you buy? I hear the steering wheel and balance board would be good. Thanks! Theresa
racerfan Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 You will probably need more remotes and nunchuks so he can play with someone, we have 4 in our house. For the Mario Kart game it should come with the steering wheel. The wii fit can come with the balance board, There are also classic controllers too which can play old Gamecube games. I recommend a charger for the wimote or recargeable batteries since it goes thru reg batteries. Wii sports resort is a very good game. Sonic colors is getting very good reviews and the active life series is good and that usually comes with the mat for it.
Stowasser Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 wasn't some people finding it at Target on clearance for $140, maybe still find some of those?
racerfan Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Someone also posted they saw the red wii for the BF price still with $50 gift card at Walmart
trob67 Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 Thanks, unfortunately my daughter wants the black one so that it blends in....but white or red if cheaper would work if it were me :) !! Thanks, Racerfan, I will look into the duplicate remotes so more can play at once.
HansieDZ Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Do not buy the "accessory pack" or whatever it's called with the extensions....my kids didn't use them at all as they don't really do anything. Extra wiimotes are good and either many batteries or rechargeables are in order. I think it's a great family gift :) Have a ball! One thing I love about Wii is that you can get games cheaply now that it's been out for a while. I still enjoy the heck out of Wii Bowling since my average is higher than it was when I was league bowling
