RossMAN Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 I am really tempted to buy this. If only there was a way to see this model in person. Also if I had it shipped to my Mailboxes etc. would this fit in our 4 door Honda Accord sedan? I'm probably better off paying down our mountain of debt :)
Brad Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 From the site: "Assembly required. This item ships in three boxes." So I'd imagine you could just do one or two boxes at a time from MBE if you needed to. I think the furniture at Overstock is nice quality. When I was looking for a headboard a few months ago their prices were a little cheaper than any other place for the same items. The $30 discount, $20 coupon and free shipping make it a nice deal, and it will definitely be better quality than the cheap metal frame WalMart $99 special futons that break the first week you use them. Plus this one wouldn't look out of place in a non-dorm room or apartment setting because it looks like actual furniture instead of a bare metal frame.
Brad Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 As a price comparison, HomeVisions carries the same model for $280 + $45 shipping = $325 AND it doesn't even include the mattress like the Overstock deal does. Here is another site that carries it for $449 with mattress: http://www.affordable-beds.com/abbey_futon.htm So the Overstock deal is extremely hot.
batyak Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 How do I access these discounts? I can't find either the gotta deal discount or the $20 coupon! (when i click on the coupon info on this site it just takes me to overstocks site) Thanks!
Brad Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 The $30 exclusive discount expired on Monday. There is a new $20 coupon available - see here: http://www.gottadeal.com/coupons-store-overstock.html
RossMAN Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 When I went shopping at local futon shops, I saw models similiar to this selling for $449+
