mcwalker Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 My wife wants a new sofa for Christmas. Furniture stores have sales all the time, but I was wondering whether the deals are better on Black Friday or the weekend than at other times. I saw a thread from a few years ago, but it wasn't really clear whether the sales that weekend were better than other times. Anyone had experience with this?
bigjimslade Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Furniture deals seem to be local so my best advice is to keep your eye on your local paper and look for ads for local stores. If you have a Ikea near you they will have a BF ad.
Buckeye Shopper Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I was curious about this too, I need new furniture also. I've never shopped for furniture BF weekend and never really paid any attention to ads for furniture. I'm hoping for some descent deals but wonder if the prices might be higher due to people wanting to spruce up their home for holiday visitors. Supply and demand.
pretweety7 Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Just a word to the wise, I called RTG (Rooms to Go) the other day and asked when they were doing their sale for gift cards again and they said it would be Black Friday. Like you buy a $100 GC and they give you one free. Keep in mind you can only use 3 of the free GC on one purchase.
tinkrbel Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I think rooms to go has a big ad for the weekend and our local american signature has something around then too.
