Question...does this only work with headphones, or can it be hooked up to speakers? Or a car stereo? If this one can't, is there a similarly priced one that can?

Yeah, that will work. You can connect any minijack adapter through the headphone jack.

I bought it. And the car adapter. Now I don't need a cd player in the car anymore...one less thing to buy on BF LOL.
