christy1211
I need a DSi for my son before Black Friday (augh). I see a few bundles around buy nothing that sounds like a bargain. Has anyone seen/heard of any good places/deals to buy one? Thanks so much. :)
racerfan
TRU is having a special today I posted a coupon valid today only on a DS/DSI bundle Let me find it. Last year on BF several stores offered gift cards with purchase. This one is the only one I have found for now so far. http://www.gottadeal.com/goto.php?http://trus.imageg.net/graphics/media/trus/103110_TRU_DOTD-cpns.pdf?csm=165849300&csc=1143260&csa=131314046&csu=1148054 Edited November 1, 2010 by racerfan added link
christy1211
Thanks. I did see that one, but why do they bundle them with such awful games? Lol!! I appreciate the post. :)
racerfan
Thanks. I did see that one, but why do they bundle them with such awful games? Lol!! I appreciate the post. :) I always ask that question too. I think they are just trying to get rid of some games lol. I know the holiday bundle is coming out within the next week or so (it is a Red DSI XL with Mario to celebrate Mario's 25th) Someone also mentioned that there is a Blue bundle coming out too with Toy Story. No sure on the prices but they probably will be in the $169 range since that is the regular price for the XL. There may be offers with a gift card also. christy1211
Hmm, the blue Mario could be good. I wonder when the deal will come out? I need it by 11/18. I guess I could always buy it and then buy the bundle when it comes out and return the new, unused one....Thanks so much!!
racerfan
Here is what Nintendo is saying on the red one. It will have Mario Kart. It is supposed to be coming out November 7th The price is listed as $179, but I am sure that there sill be other offers in addition like gift cards, or a memory card etc. I have not found anything about the possible blue one with Toy Story. http://mario25.nintendo.com/reddsixl/
christy1211
Wow, that is a great deal -- that's for the DSi XL too. We already own Mario Cart -- my son would play it all day (on the Wii and DS -- his sisters) if he could! Great game value to bundle. Not sure how crazy my 6 yr old will be with the Toy Story game. If it's anything like the TS3 game for Leapster, it might not be that great. But we'll see -- Just getting an accessory case/pack and a good game would be a nice bonus though. He wants blue, so i guess I'll wait to see what they decide to offer with the blue. We just need the DSi -- the XL looks too big really. Kind of defeats the whole hand-held idea. LOL! Oh well, always something newer, right? :)
shoppinmama
I'm looking for a good deal on a DSi for my son too. Costco has a bundle right now for the DSi XL that includes a case, car charger and two screen protectors. It is $179.99 before the $30 Costco coupon so $149.99 after coupon. Of course this is only a good deal if you or someone you know has a Costco membership. I am not sure if this is the best deal I'll find or if I should wait until BF ads leak. The $30 coupon is good until 11/7. I believe they have the coupon books at CS in Costco if you don't have one yourself. I have just started looking for one since my son just decided he wants one for Christmas now that his cousin has one too. I was hoping I had a few years before he wanted some expensive game systems!
