IRobot Roomba

Recommended Posts

I have been wanting to get a Roomba for some time now because I hate vacuuming my floors. I have finally found what I think is the best deal for me and was wandering if any of you out there have any experience with the Roomba and can tell me if this is the deal I think it is or if I can do better. The deal starts tomorrow at Kohls.

IRobot Roomba 530 reg 379.99 sale 299.99 and you get FREE Roomba Dirt Dog (by mail with this purchase)

so I'd be getting 2 Roomba's for $299.99 plus order online and use the 30% off (89.99) I would only be paying $210 for both.

Any advise or comments on Roomba?

I bought about a year ago. I do like it but the battery lasts for about one room and then you have to recharge it and you always have to leave it on the charger (however I think mine is a low model and some have a charging station that it goes back on its own to charge) Also, you need to empty and clean the brushes every time. It does do a decent job I think but again I don't have any pets inside. Another thing you have to pick up everything. It is nice that it goes under my bed as long as I have a path cleared for it lol. I think I got mine for $60 on a coupon sale at kohls. You missed them at Target a while back they went to 75% off there but I can't remember the price as I was tempted to get another. I like turning it on in the morning and letting it go or if I am doing wash or dishes something else is getting done too. I do like to run my Dyson once in a while as I think it does a better job. L10558 I think is my model. I looked at your model, it looks much nicer and it says it battery is for 3 rooms and it does have the charging dock. I hate to vacuum so it works for me as I try to run it in a room every day if I remember uggh. Good luck.

I LOVE my Roomba!!!!!!!!!

I'ts not a deep cleaning vacuum (like you'd do before having guests over before the holidays) but for everyday use it is wonderful! I have 2 dogs & 2 cats and HATE having to vacuum every day, and I don't have to anymore. And you can start it and leave and when you come home your floor is vacuumed. I do still pull out my regular vacuum and vaccuum every week or two, but I'm not pulling it out every day or two like I was. I have a cheaper model than the one you want to get, and I have considered getting the scooba!

And every single review of the vacuum says that you have to pick up everything from the floor before using it - well don't you have to do that to vacuum your floor anyways?

LOVE my Roomba so much I bought him a friend...Scooba! It mops your floors :-) Like other posters mentioned, you will still want to use a regular vaccuum once in awhile, but this keeps floors pretty clean. One thing to watch for is Bed, Bath and Beyond...I found a Roomba on sale and then used the 20% coupon they send out. That made for a great deal. Also, my Scooba is a refurbished model I got on Overstock. Great deal there too...have had it 2 years with no problems.
