Anyone else bummed they are not going out on Black Fri.. I am not saying for sure but I do not need any high ticket items. My kids want clothes video game , cologne and shoes. I probably go out but later in the day but I sure will miss camping out.Next year they willl need new computers so I guess I can look forward to that :o

I think everyone should camp at least once. It is a experience I find fun and thrilling.

If I had a port-o-poddy I would definitely consider it especially with our weather. Maybe I'll check out the best buy near the house week of Thanksgiving. Although between a late night Taco Bell and Publix in same shopping center I should maybe be good?

Never got the camping "thrill". Maybe if my friends/family did it also, I could see it, but they don't, so I'm usually solo on BF, and I've never waited in line more than an hour. None of the deals are worth more than an hour's wait.

How can you know what you're doing yet when the ads aren't even out yet?

I'm with bigjim on this. My buds and I camp out every year. When it's all over we look at each other and say, "OK, who is in for next year?". This year none of us need anything really, but we always buy items for friends and family. Last year my list was 22 items for 11 different folks. The campout for us is more of a tailgate party that last 2 days (we set up on Wednesday). We really have fun with the whole experience!

I've never camped out. No one to camp with lol. Besides, hardly anyone ever shows up before 3am BF around here anyway.

Anyone for a camping trip to the North Carolina coast? How about Thanksgiving holiday? Forget wildlife and natural scenery, lets camp....in a parking lot! ;)

You should base that decision only after the ads disappoint you. You may find that a certain computer is just right, and shop a year earlier to get it.

Never camped. Stayed in line 4 hours with friends once. That's about it for me. My memory is not great but last year I think I got a camera at Best Buy for my long vacation I took (was in line 45 minutes), year before that I ummm was in line for 4 hours with friends? I forget cause there was one year my Japanese ex visited me and she was shocked about BF and did not like it. That is a whole other post....

This year of course I will be too far away and might shop online if shipping prices are fair. Though I am sure midnight USA time is about 10am here so I will be at work of course.

Oh, I plan on going out Thursday again. I was questioning people that are saying that nothing good will be on sale or that the ads won't be good this year or they don't need anything on sale, my question was to them - How do you know?

I don't specifically know what I will be buying, but I know that I will be going out.

Like Big Jim, I live in Texas and although the weather doesn't always cooperate, I have been camping out for BF since early 90's. I can remember going to BB at 2 am and being in the first 10 in line. Wow how times have changed. Most of the kids are grown now so we just do it to hang out with friends and make new ones. There always seems to be something that will make a great gift or two and like I said it is a TRADITION.:) :tongue1:
