jcarr492
Doesn't Office Depot usually do a 1cent school supply sale each week before school starts? I thought I remembered getting folders and such for 1cent or 5cents each or something like that.

tinkrbel
staples had pencils a few weeks back with copy paper (after rebate)and has something this week I think.office depot or office max has something this week. this year they require a $5 purchase at staples but they have stuff nearly free after rebate which counts towards $5. Gator Pam
Is Staples offer an instant rebate or mail in rebate?
tinkrbel
staples rebates are mail in or online. It's easy to submit but still takes a while to get money back. Filler paper is a penny this week with purchase of $5 with own brand post its, some highlighters and pop up tape being free after rebate so they would allow you to get paper for 0.01. The pen drive is a staples "rewards" item for $1. I would recommend against REWARDS only because it takes so long to get them and when I did battery offer over last BF/Xmas never got my coupon and they refused to accept return or sesend me my coupon. I bought 2 packs of batteries at 9.99 expecting to get full money back and got stuck with overpriced batteries.
stationchief
Just got Office Depot's ad for this. Their $0.01 school supplies sale is goin' on now until August 28. It's in-store only (no online) and looks like it includes Acrylic Rulers (assorted colors), 2-Pocket Paper Folders (with or without prongs), and Slider Pencil Boxes (pencils not included). There's probably a lot more but ya gotta go in to see 'em.
KC-Traderbear
I tried to get one of the $1 calculators on Sunday one hour after they opened. They were all gone. The customer service guy said that he didn't know if they'd get anymore back in or not. Fortunately the store is really close to our house, so I've just been checking each day on my way to and from dropping my kids at school. They've taken the sign down. Appears no more coming?? Pretty lame if you ask me. I get the whole gimmick to get people in the store, but come on. If you're going to put something on the front page of your ad, don't you think you should equip the stores with at least hundreds of these things instead of maybe just a few. To be sold out within an hour of opening tells me that there weren't that many to begin with. The limit was 2 per customer, so I know that someone didn't just come in and take them all. Made me angry enough to ditch the idea of buying anything else that I possibly would have. If they weren't going to supply their stores with very many, they should have just kept it as an unadvertised special for those who were already shopping in the store to enjoy. It's sad cause their customer service people have to take the brunt of the upset customers. They really don't have any say in how many calculators Office Depot sends them, but they are the ones who get to hear from the customers about it. Why would OD to that to their employees? This is the second time that I've gone in to OD for something that was advertised on the front page of their flyer only to have it gone and no ideas about when more will come in from anyone in the store. L-A-M-E.... Never had a problem with Staples having enough quantity of their advertised items.
Rockfordmom
I got 2 of the calculators Sunday, it was after 12 noon sometime. But twice in the past month when I went there to get something from the ad they didn't have any and never got any more in during the week.
baraginfinder
I got 1 of the calculators as soon as they opened last Sunday. They had about 10 in stock. My daughter's friend said that she needed one too, so I went back about 1 hour later and they were gone. I went in today for the binders and sharpie markers. They had about 30-40 packs of the $1 markers, but not too many of the binders. I have learned that if you want something that is a good deal you need to be there when they open.
