Kids magazine subscriptions for cheap or free?

I'm looking to find a couple cheap or free kids magazines to have at the local elementary school. I'm working there in the library and we only have cat fancy, dog fancy (or something like that), a sports mag and I think that's it. I know there are mag deals out there, can you help me find them! I'd love to get them for under $5! This is geared towards K-3 grades.

My kids get a free Lego Magazine and they like it. It isn't very big, but it is free.

We don't get it but it sounds like a pretty decent magazine.

why not ask parents to donate their copies when they're done? they may be a few weeks or a month late but they'd be free.

 

ladybug, and animal baby families of mags have ones that are nice...but not cheap.

For the crafty kids my DD9 gets Family Fun and absolutely LOVES it..we got in amazon for $4 for 12 months during a promotion. I just got my DS12 Popular Mechanics for $5/yr on Amazon too...

 

We used to get highlights and nickjr. but they are REALLY overpriced!!

 

Would it be for actual reading or for cutting up for projects (cutting out pictures?)
