ljvoskuil
What was the best baby shower gift you received? Something you got but would never thought you would need?? Looking to spend about $25 or under. Thanks!!!

cotejb
The one thing I used every day even now is the walmart boppy pillow which is $20. Things people bought me that I didn't think about needed was an assortment of baby meds, teething tablets, orajel and gas drops (The gas drops were REALLY helpful to have on hand), the baby toothpaste (very useful since she is getting her teeth in), disposable changing pads (for when we are out and about). Granted all these things weren't needed when she was first born but its nice as she's getting older and needs it to already have it on hand. lazerith75
The best thing I got was a swaddle blanket. The kind that you just put the baby in and fold the 2 sides over and your done. I wasn't good at swaddling at first and these really helped out.
ShopnMom
BOPPY! Even if the mother does not nurse, it is great support for the baby when they begin laying on their tummies and when they begin sitting up. It is a very versatile item that we used every day when our children were babies.

Something for mom and baby. http://www.smartmomjewelry.com/images/smartmom_mp_splash.jpg http://www.smartmomjewelry.com/index.asp
