Mara Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Am I the only weirdo that just can't wait. I have been stashing my cash away and have 2 XBOX 360's I preordered the day they started taking preorders. I will flip them on ebay and the profit will be black friday money Just seeing if I'm the only one that can't wait for the lists and its still months away lol Mara
RossMAN Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 If I had it my way, the next 4 weeks would be gone in the blink of an eye.
outnumbered Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 With the deployment, there'll be nobody here to stay with the kids while I go from store to store...so I don't get to go out on BF. So I'm much less excited this year than I was last year. Online BF is not the same as waiting out in the cold LOL. You'd think being home would be better but I miss the experience.

What a good idea that was.

What a good idea that was.Um, I don't think waiting outside a store at 4 am in 15 degree weather with kids ages 5, 3 and 1 is such a great idea. I don't think having them inside the store with everyone pushing and shoving is such a great idea either.
Scott Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 If I had it my way, the next 4 weeks would be gone in the blink of an eye. They will be. Don't worry. There isn't enough time in the day it seems.
stingygrrl Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 If I had it my way, the next 4 weeks would be gone in the blink of an eye.what happens after 4 weeks?
RossMAN Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 what happens after 4 weeks? That's when the Black Friday buzz picks up and we'll have a few thousand new forum members :)
Guest Frieked Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I actually dread black friday... My significant other works in a mall... and black friday means the start of her working late every day until after the holiday season is over.
Keebelf Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Chris couldn't get off that day.....one of the other ladies in his trailer beat him to it. We are hopeing though, that if the deals are really good, we can do the same thing we did last year and that was get everything a couple of days before and just keep the recipts and then go back BF morning and go straight to the service desk and get the money back that we would have saved. It took him a LOT less time doing it that way last year.
mrn8 Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I can't wait for BF. If the deals are signigicant, I'll bust my butt and work 10 extra hours M-W, so I can have Friday off. If I can get what I want online, then I'll just go into work and get my BF shopping done there.
SueInCali Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I have a fistfull of cash in one hand and a fistfull of credit cards in the other! Let me at 'em! Debbie- I scored some good deals online last BF. Chin up!
RossMAN Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 78 days to go... are you ready? :)I'm a little nervous because this year I'd really like a brand name 32 - 37" DLP/LCD/Plasma HDTV for $999 or less. *crossing my fingers*

RossMAN Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Let me know the minute you hear of one... I'm thinking about getting one too. :)What size, type and budget? I'm torn between a larger DLP 42" to sit in our livingroom (which we rarely use) or a smaller 32" LCD or Plasma in the bedroom in front of the bed.

I'm torn between a larger DLP 42" to sit in our livingroom (which we rarely use) or a smaller 32" LCD or Plasma in the bedroom in front of the bed. It doesn't matter, as long as it's a good deal. I can always find a place for it, move things around, etc., etc.
Meltz Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 if there's a sweet deal on a 42" flat panel TV, I might go for it. Otherwise, I'm sleeping in!

IMO a smaller one (less $) is better bec in a couple years you're going to want a newer, better one anyway

Exactly.IMO a smaller one (less $) is better bec in a couple years you're going to want a newer, better one anyway I already have a WS HDTV, but if there's hot deals, I'm all over it.

IMO a smaller one (less $) is better bec in a couple years you're going to want a newer, better one anywayAgreed and I've actually seen the Syntax Olevia LT30HV 30" LCD TV for $777 at Fry's B&M. If they offer this again at that price, I'll probably buy it. In a few years I can upgrade to a behemoth DLP 1080p. http://ai.pricegrabber.com/product_images/2950000-2950999/2950406_640.jpg Description: The Syntax-Olevia features a 30" LCD Active Screen with an Aspect Ratio of 16:9, Brightness 500cd / m2, Contrast 750:1 and a Resolution of 1280(H) x 768(V), leading to a good image quality. It comes with 2 removable speakers each producing a 10W output. Additionally, it features the following: a TV / Video Switch, Channel Return, MTS, PIP / POP3 / Split Screen / Grid, Aspect Ratio Adjustment; Clock, Alarm, Sleep Timer, Favorite Channel Setting, V-chip, Close Caption.

Rebirth Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I'm not sure if I'm gonna go this year. It'll depend on who goes, and what they have. LCD monitor is what I want this year.
