seems I could get the unit for christmas but not the controller-- help me out here; do I get the wireless controller as an extra? kid wants this for christmas and I had been dragging my butt; traded in some old games at Gamestop and have a little credit there but if this deal is better....

I think this is a good deal on the PS3, as for the extra controller you can always pick up a used one @ gamestop for pretty cheap they will never know!!

Did anyone else order this? I ordered when they guaranteed delivery by the 24th. Up until this morning, that was my delivery date. Now it says the 29th, but my remote is being overnighted to be here on time. Been on hold with Sony for over an hour I called FedEx first, who said it was scheduled for pick up on the 18th, but Sony didnt actually send it out until the 21, and thats why its late.

Yes, I ordered this on the 20th for delivery in time for Christmas and received shipping confirmation the same day. Just checked my FedEx tracking number and it said it is On Truck For Delivery (for today).

 

I'm not leaving my house until it arrives as it probably requires a signature and don't want it sent back to the warehouse. Good luck. I know you must be very upset.

I didn't see this deal until too late....bummer. I did notice that sony is offering a $50.00 gift card with any qualifying purchase over $249.00 which would make it even sweeter if anyone that did get the deal could still apply. Oh I just went back and looked, you have to get one of their credit cards

Two hours on hold with Sony...to hear them blame FedEx while Fedex blames Sony Either way, no PS3. Although the remote that was sent 5 days later made it on time....UGH. What good is a guarantee if there is nothing to back it up? All i got was sorry...you & lots of other people!
