pinkroses4mommy
Does anyone have the cottage and have any input on it? I bought one for my almost 3 year old, but am considering taking it back before Christmas because of the size. I hate to have something that big if it's not played with A LOT! We have the biggest Step 2 kitchen already, so I keep flip floppping on what to do.
krucook
A million thanks for this post. I ordered from walmart last year the Dreamtown castle and accessories when they had it for $30. After receiving shipping and confirmations, 4 days later they cancelled the orders i made for the castle and shipped the accessories. I returned them. I went to my local tru this morning after reading your great post. I thought if they didn't have them i'd have to order. They had everything except for the tea set. I picked up the castle, vanity, sink, icecream set, veggie set, stir fry set and the birthday set. While the cs gal was checking on the status of the tea set, i saw there were zhu zhu hamsters behind her desk. I asked if they were for sale. She said one per guest. So i picked one of those up, as well. Just again, thanks, been waiting all year for this deal. Edited December 13, 2009 by krucook

They are big BUT they go inside each other so that makes for good storage. I bought the entire collection for my daughter for that reason! This is a great toy at a fantastic deal!!! shoppinmama
I bought the Rose Petal Cottage on-line for $50 on BF and was able to get a price adjustment today. I also picked up the sink today as well. I like to research most of what I buy before I make any big purchases and I read a lot of reviews on this before I decided to buy it. It got a lot of very positive reviews. It looks so cute and for $30 you can't beat it. I have read that you should read the instructions carefully when putting it together and have a partner to help you with it. A couple of reviewers mentioned an on-line video on how to assemble it that helped them. I haven't found it yet, but its on my list of things to look into this week. Also, some said it was easy to tip over and best used up against a wall. I was planning on putting this in the corner of my dd's room so that shouldn't be an issue for me. I don't think this is something I would have purchased at full price, but I am so excited to have gotten one today for $30! I can't wait to see my little girl's face on Christmas morning! It went well with my daughter's first birthday party theme of a fresh market/garden theme. Darling for photos and the kids in attendance loved to play with it. I like the idea that you can easily collapse these items down if you needed to take them down for a period of time. My kids really enjoy the market and the ice cream set. For the price, you can't beat it.
