jeff7602 Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I bought the 42" Emerson Plasma on BF and love it! I was planning on buying the extended warranty, but when I was at checkout they said it was $79 for a 2 year extended warranty. I didn't buy it because they said I could add it later and I thought I remembered people saying it was a lot cheaper than that. I see on Walmarts website that they sell the extended warranties, but I'm not sure how it works. Can I just purchase the 3 yr warranty on walmart.com and add it to my TV? How is this done. They have a 3 yr for sale online for only $44. I just want to make sure I'm doing this right before I do it.
kselzer Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I haven't used walmart.com, but I did use www.squaretrade.com to buy an extended warranty recently. Thankfully I haven't had to use the warranty yet, but they seem to have really good reviews all over the web. Also they usually have good coupon codes out to make their prices even better. Here's some coupon codes: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/squaretrade.com
Rtty Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 After seeing the post I checked out and purchased the Walmart warranty for the 42" plasma Tv. The reviews, on the warranty, are very favorable and for $44.00 you end up with a full repair or replace warranty for four years. The Walmart warranty kicks in after the one year product warranty expires. Sounds to me like it would be foolish to not spend the $44 bucks. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4100426
