I recently purchased the guitar hero 5 on their site and was to receive a 40 dollar gift card. Tried to apply it on a purchase today of RB2 and it would not allow me. How do I double check to see if I actually received the 40 dollar credit, or is it only good on a select item?

I got my $40 credit today for ordering DJ Hero the other day. It's good on ALL purchase (has to be amazon.com as the seller), it's a promotional credit that they apply to your account directly, when you go to checkout before you proceed to checkout you'll see it on the right hand side that says Promotional credit if it's been used.

You won't get it until 2 days after they ship it. I bought it also and it said it wasn't available until NOv 25, so I would assume you will get an email on the 27th with your 40.00 credit.

You should have gotten an email from Amazon letting you know that you got the $40 credit from the promotion and that it was put on your account for you to be able to use on a future game. The emails are sent after the items your ordered were shipped. I got mine the same day I got an email that said my games were shipped. To check if you have a promotional credit with Amazon go to your account and click where you go to manage your payment options (where your credit cards are). There is a box to check that says "use your promotional credit" If you order a video game it is automatically applied if that box is checked.

Guitar Hero 5 was not available to ship until the 25th. You will not have it yet.

email I received from Amazon today says they won't have it on the 25 th now. I won't get it until possibly Dec.2.
