Tires on Black Friday

I've always found Sears prices on tires installed to be rather high. Your best bet is to shop around and especially visit some local independent dealers. I've always made out pretty well doing that. Some places around here will offer a better price if I ask for their best price. There's always tirerack.com too but you have to figure in the cost of shipping and having them installed at a local shop.

Well just remember the price of tires just went up for most folks thanks to a duty on Chinese tires from the current admin. A buddy of mine just had to pay like $35 extra a TIRE because of that. That said, if you find tires you like from Sears, normally the day after BF they run 10% off of everything.

It depends on the size you need. For my car Walmart only carried one brand, and it would have cost just under $400 for a set of 4. I went to Les Schwabs and bought a comparable set for $270 installed. Your best bet is to break out the phonebook and call around. If you are willing to change tire sizes (a good shop can tell you which other size(s) would work safely on your car) you may be able to get a great deal.

Good luck!

Actually Tires Plus will be having a 50% off sale for all tires in stock. My fiance is a manager there. Wouldn't hurt to call and see if they can order yours and then go in on black friday and get the deal! That's what I have my friends doing.

A very good friend of ours owns a small tire store and Black Friday is a very big day for him. I don't know if this is because of the prices or because people want to stay away from big crowds. It may just be that husbands drop their wives off at the mall and then head over to him for some tires and rims.
