I think I am going to take a "Goodies" basket to school for the teachers lounge. I was going to make cookies, candies and fruit bread. I will put the different cookies/candies into "treat bags" and seal them separately. Wrap the bread in saran wrap. put it all together for them all to share - I will take it up just before lunch one day the first week of December (It is a really small school and they all help out) His actual teacher I will probably just get a small gift card to Half Price Books (our favorite book store)

This is going to be on BF sale at Target for $28. -- Just so you know.

Don't forget to look for the printable coupons.

Every extra $$ helps right?

We have both (the boys are 4 and 6). They definately prefer their V-Smile Pocket. (You must have the charger though...thing eats batteries). The games are slightly less expensive ($20 for V-Smile vs $25 for Leapster). The games are really good (with several versions and playing option on each cartridge). The cartridges are also easier to find marked down or on clearance (I have been finding them for $7 - $11 for the older titles!)

I could ship you lots (just to get out of my house!) of 2T shirts if you wanted used....Otherwise, I found a lot of Kaufmans (now Macy's) and Dillards - usually for $8-$9 per shirt, but this was a couple of years ago.
Trying to remember where I got those shoes....Target maybe - I know they had "Big Red Car" slippers last winter.
And Kohl's had a big selection when we were in that phase - I know we got a lot of PJ's there.
Also, Walmart had misc tableware for the wiggles at one time, but don't think I've seen them recently.

You may want to return the charging base. I was looking at them to go with the Pocket I got for DS at 50%. I read the reviews on Amazon, and apparently it is pretty bad. There were a few good reviews, but most said that it was EXTREMELY difficult to use. A few suggested you would be better off simply buying rechargeable batteries and a recharger separately than using this thing.
We have the V-Smile pocket and the charger. LOVE the charger. The pocket eats batteries (even the recharables), but seams to last longer with the charger - plus you don't have to mess with a screwdriver to take the batteries out to charge.. Just make sure that you wiggle the V-Smile when it goes on the charger until the light goes on, then you are set. Totally worth ANY price, IMO

Coupon in the Sunday paper last week for the games on page 10 makes them a REALLY good deal...

Went yesterday day at lunch. The cashier tried to tell me they didn't take internet coupons, and I told her that I printed from their website and that they sent me an e-mail with a notice to print the coupon. She had to check with the manager, but they took it.
I would have walked out without my purchases if she didn't take, 'cause I didn't absolute need what I was buying, but on sale with a coupon was a good deal.

check the clearance aisles at Toys R Us and Walmart. I have bought games for $3 and $5 from both places.

I would probably be going on the Thurs or Fri, and my boys are 9...good kids though...
nice to know others take their kids too, thanks for the info, I appreciate it!
I took my 3 and 5 year old with me. Several other kids along. My boys really enjoyed it.

This is only supposed to be available to school staff, book fair staff and homeschool parents...not a general public offer:
Our warehouses are working sites for most of the year. But twice a year at the end of each season, we open our doors and offer super values on books, software, gifts, and more. It's our way of thanking you for your continued commitment to the education profession and helping children become life long learners.
Warehouse Sales are exclusive to Book Fair Chairpeople & Volunteers, Registered Homeschoolers, and School Personnel; Principals, Administrators, Faculty, Teachers, Librarians, and Media Specialists
I think this is technically true, but I also know that they do not check. I also know that I received invitations from two sources (both knew that I did not meet this criteria) - one an employee of Scholastic and the other was my son's school.
I got some great deals, and plan to go again (without the grabby kiddos this time)

I had some luck this weekend. I found a Cranium Rocket Pack for 3.76 (reg 15.99), a Cranium Look & Find Puzzle for 3.76 (reg 15.99) and a Cranium Sounds of the Ocean game for 4.29 (not sure about the normal price). My sister also found a V Smile Pocket docking/recharging station of 17.50 (reg 24.99 - since this thing as eaten a least 2 sets of batteries since X-Mas, totally necessary) Waiting on a couple more things to go down more (the Candyland DVD game was still 21...)
Christmas was down to 1/2 aisle and slim pickings ....

My Target had toddler slippers on clearance for 5.58 (original 7.99) - a good find since I was going to buy them anyway (last minute gift request)

Delicious (best cookies I've had)
Cookies come individually wrapped and can be frozen so they don't have to eat the whole thing at once!

My 3 1/2 year old son LOVES the Kidsongs DVD's they have at Walmart for $1. (Can't always find them, but GREAT price)
Go Diego Go is also really big at my house.

My son brought a note home last night about this sale. They called it a "customer appreciation" sale and everyone was invited. Nothing in his note about teachers or librarians! His note also mentioned the on-line sign up to recieve the $10 coupon

Do you know if you can put an item in your cart and save it over several days in order to save on shipping by ordering more items the following days? Or does each days order have to be received the same day?
I know that shoppers have been able to do this in the past. I would recommend checking the prices before you submit the order. They have been very good at honoring prices though!

I got the Maya and Miguel yesterday and let the boys play last night. It was very cute. It was a memory matching game, but you had to match the sounds instead of pictures. Worked great, graphics were ok, but nothing spectacular. overall, a GREAT DEAL for free!

I may have asked this before, but does anyone know if any or all codes are stackable. I thought I read they were, but couldn't get 2 to stack last night.
This coupon code specifically says it will not stack!

In store only - 75% Winter Clearance (scheduled to go to 90% off on 2/3)
The store I was at had a nice selection (2 tables) that included journals and Bert's Bees packs. I'm guessing that the selection varies by store.
Clerk said that all location were having the sale.
