I've recieved a similar note a couple of times in the past on other rebates, but I have been lucky, as I resent the copy of the information with my explanation, and the refund has always been issued in the end.

Keep in mind, that unit doesn't have a built in tuner! Many of the stations transmit HDTV signals FREE over the airwaves and it produces great pictures. I wouldn't want to be tied down to having to use it with a cable hookup.
